With beautiful weather approaching, this Finger Lakes beauty will be an eye-catcher when sailed or rowed on your favorite body of water! At 13 feet in length and powered by sail or oars, this boat does not require registration for use on New York's waters.
Wooden "Beach Pea" boats were hand built by the people at The Landing School of Boatbuilding and Design in Arundel, Maine.
This hull, number 242, was built in 2005 and refreshed with some refinements added during the fall and winter of 2022/2023.
Included with the boat are the wooden mast and sprit pole with running rigging, an appropriate cloth sail made by Gambell and Hunter Sailmakers in Camden, Maine, and a beautiful pair of Shaw and Tenny wooden oars.
With a weight of approximately 140 pounds, it can be handled without undue exertion, and its double ended hull rows easily through the water leaving very little wake.
Her hull features a retractable, wooden centerboard that can be secured in the fully down position for sailing or in the fully up position for rowing or during launching activity.
The rudder and tiller can be easily lifted and removed when they are not needed for sailing.

The asking price DOES NOT include the Aluminum trailer on which the boat is carried.
