*Working Hours:* Full-time, day shifts (07:00 AM - 7:30 PM), minimum of 34.
5 hours guaranteed with no overtime.
*Job Description:*
Client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level 3 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Belmont, NY.
This position is for day shifts (07:00 AM - 7:30 PM) with a guaranteed minimum of 34.
5 hours per week.
*Responsibilities:*
* Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Level 3 ICU.
* Assess patients' conditions, implement appropriate interventions, and evaluate responses to treatment.
* Efficiently manage patients with various medical conditions, including those requiring EVDs, multiple medication drips, and Hemosphere Flotrac.
* Proficiently handle trauma patients of different severities.
* Perform assessments using tools such as CAM, CPOT, and RASS.
* Administer hypothermia treatment and manage patients with pleurevac chest tube drainage.
* Adhere to strict isolation precautions and follow hospital SOPs and critical care practices.
* Familiarity with PCA pump usage.
*Requirements:*
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree from an accredited nursing school.
* Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in New York State or by reciprocity.
* Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience preferred.
* Certifications required to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
Preferred but not required: CCRN and TNCC.
* Strong clinical skills in managing critically ill patients.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
