*Bus Driver*
Operates gas or diesel powered busses on designated routes, including picking up and dropping off customers at designated bus stops or stations following all state, local and federal rules and regulations for drivers.
Will assist in the pick up of campus refuse, assists Mechanics with repairs, maintains the cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and the garage itself, along with various other duties related to the operation of ACES Transportation.
*Essential Functions:*
· Follows proper procedures for driving various College-required routes including, but not limited to, the Alfred Campus shuttle, the Wellsville shuttle, Hort/Farm shuttle, and the Hornell shuttle.
Also, may drive students to College and non-College related functions such as sporting events, job fairs, etc.
· Follows proper procedures for performing daily preventive maintenance (pre-check) inspection of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and trouble‑free operation including the cleaning of any assigned vehicle.
· Follows proper procedure for fueling vehicles and for recording information with regard to mileage and passenger reports.
· Assists with vehicle repairs using hand and power tools, tests equipment on engines and components, along with brake repair, tire changes, etc.
· Follows proper procedure for refuse removal, including recyclable items.
· Maintain legible records required by the employer.

*Job Requirements*
· Must be able to read, write and speak English.
· Must possess a clean, valid NYS CDL with a P endorsement, or be willing and able to attain.
· Must complete and pass an ACES Vehicle Driver’s Job Knowledge Test, a physical and written exams per D.
O.
T.
and Federal Regulations and must conform to it (hours, tests, any required logs, and appropriate licensing‑Class 1, 2, or 3).
· Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds (or more but, only with assistance from another employee or a mechanical aid.
